Hamnskär, known as Lotsskäret on the map, was previously a pilot station. Here you can moor at a floating dock. If you do not have access to a boat, you can take a fast boat or boat taxi from Furuögrund's small boat harbor.
In the old pilot house, you can rent a room with two beds, and in the red cottage (the annex), there are five beds distributed over two rooms. There is no electricity, and you cannot light a fire in the cottages, so in chilly weather, it may be good to have a sleeping bag with you (blankets and pillows are available).
There is no running water on the island, so you must bring drinking water with you from the mainland. At one of the three barbecue spots, you can prepare your meals, or you can use your own camping stove.
Things to consider
Guests must bring their own bed linen, toilet paper, kitchen utensils, firewood, and water. Trash and nice memories from your stay should be taken home with you!
